Dedicated to Nalla Pochamma, this temple is located on railway premises at Lalapet, Secunderabad. There is also a Sufi shrine in the same complex. Known for her volatile temper, Nalla Pochamma is supposed to be more powerful than any other goddess. This painting in the calendar art style shows the goddess riding a tiger and trampling a male figure. The legend is that the goddess defeated her father Shiva in a battle and trampled him. There are plenty of shrines like these around the city. Given the absence of explanatory boards or inscriptions, it is very difficult to know to which goddess the shrine is dedicated. On the either side of the entrance of the shrine, images of Pothuraju brandishing a whip are drawn or painted. These shrines are always painted red and yellow.
