Gaurav Kalra is a PhD. research scholar in the Department of English and Cultural Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh (India). He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of English in Akal University, Talwandi Sabo (Bathinda). His research interests focus on cultural studies, visual culture and Indian writings in English. His interest in photography and hagiographical studies addresses the contemporary political and social discourses of identity and construct. Theoretical and archival research, critical inquiry of national icon formations and visual constructs are the core areas of consideration.
