Dannah Dennis
is currently a Teaching Fellow for Global Perspectives on Society at New York University Shanghai. She completed her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Virginia in 2017. Her recently published work deals with the politics of urban infrastructure, the gendered and regional exclusions that shape Nepal’s citizenship laws, the nationalist implications of Nepal's claim to Buddha’s birthplace, and the obligations of relationship in transnational families.



Avash Bhandari Avash Bhandari is a graduate student in history at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is interested in the environmental history of Nepal and the Himalaya.
